Public hearings on Legal Aid Issue:
The objective of the event was to improve the understanding among the government, police makers, local leaders, and the relevant institutions’ members. Through the question-and-answer session of the event community, people will get free legal advice on various issues like land disputes, family disputes, financial disputes, etc. It will help them solve their problem. This event will help to implement the lobby and advocacy program and the attitude of all relevant people will change in a positive way.

Today’s activity is very exception to other development activities.It is like a dream for me that a judge came to a Union Parishad and spoke directly to the mass people about the legal aid issue. People must benefit from today’s event. I request PPJ to arrange this activity several times in our Upazila and Union.
UPLAC Orientation:
Md. SaidurRahaman,Chairman, Ponabalia Union, Jhalokathi Sadar, Jhalokathi 01726-601300 Said That-Government of Bangladesh ensures justice for all people through legal aid services.Fora long time, UPLAC is not active. From today’s orientation UPLAC reform and the UPLAC members are oriented about their duties and responsibilities. UPLAC will send the victim to District Legal Aid Office for free legal aid service. I hope that all UPLAC members will work efficiently for serving poor community people.
Facilitate Courtyard meeting:
Md. Fareq, Farmer, 3 no ward, Mollarhat Union, Nalchity, Jhalokathi 01405-741952, said that- I have heard about legal aid issue through miking. I don’t understand properly. In today’s courtyard meeting I can understand in detail about free legal aid service. Address of District legal aid office, hotline number, etc.I think such meetings should be held in every village. Because the poor and disadvantaged people in the village do not get any help when they face legal problems.
